Pastor Robert Zimmerman grew up largely in the Carlisle Pennsylvania area and is a 1985 Graduate of Messiah College in Grantham Pennsylvania with a degree in Christian Education and Pychology. He graduated from United Theological Seminary in 1988 and has had credentials and ministerial service as an American Baptist Minister and a United Methodist Minister. He also served as a Prison Chaplain in Cumberland County Pennsylvania for four years. He is married to Carolyn Zimmerman who is a practicing physician at Cooper Hospital in Camden NJ. Pastor Zimmerman has one daughter who is currently a Sophomore at Messiah College. Pastor Zimmerman and his wife have been residents of Glenside Pennsylvania for the past eight years and he currently Pastors the Ridley Park Baptist and the Prospect Park Baptist Church's. Robert is an athletic outdoor oriented person. He loves playing basketball, golf, and running and hiking. Most often in Spring and Summer you will find him traveling by motorcycle. Robert has a love for the Lord, and a desire to see the Ridley Park Baptist Church become more vitally healthily and growing as a congregation. He has a passion for the spiritually lost to find life in Jesus Christ. Although Robert is new to our church he is not new to Christian ministry and he seeks to use his life and ministry experience to be a blessing to the Ridley Park Baptist Church.
